SALT exists to equip the teens of La Pine for a lifetime of following Jesus Christ. SALT calls students to be "Salt and Light" to every student in La Pine, sharing the love of Jesus with all who call La Pine Home. SALT also exists to introduce the young people of LaPine to God's second book, the book of Creation. We regularly mentor students in hunting and fishing and take students on "Adventure Days" out into Creation.


High Lakes Youth Group is first and foremost a God Place! Students will be challenged by scripture and called into a deeper relationship with Jesus. Our goal is to build an environment with an open door, and loving acceptance. We want every student that walks through the doors to feel welcomed, and loved in a Safe Place! We desire to make God real in the lives of students, by showing them that God is not boring. His love is real, and he wants them to live in that joy. Thus Youth Group is and will always be a Fun Place!

MAy 8th-10th: 3rd Annual SALT youth Turkey Hunt

Thank you for your interest in joining our 3rd annual youth turkey hunt! We will be leaving La Pine Friday at noon and returning Sunday by noon in time for Mother's Day festivities! We are headed east of Prineville up into the Ochoco Mountains. Middle School students will need a parent to join them, High schoolers can come solo. Every attendee will need to have a hunting license and a Spring Turkey tag. SALT will pay for your license and tag, just reach out to Isaac. We will have extra shotguns students can use. All shotguns will be locked and under supervision of an adult while we are not actively hunting. Middle SChool Summer Camp: Mix July 5-8, 2026

CIY MIX will be July 5th-July 8th at Washington Family Ranch near Antelope, OR. This camp is for incoming 6th-incoming 9th graders. The total cost for this camp is $300 if registered prior to April 30th. Starting May 1st, any new registrants will see the cost increase to $400. A non-refundable (aside from emergencies) $100 deposit is due May 1st. A second $100 payment will be due June 1st. Final payments and last minute registrations will be due July 1st. CIY MOVE will be July 20th-July 26th at George Fox University. This camp is for incoming freshman-graduating seniors. The total cost for this camp is $300 if registered prior to April 30th. High School Mexico Mission Trip June 19th-27th
